1. A 23-page Report, on maximum Ship Squats in Open Water and in Confined Channels, when Merchant vessels are operating in shallow waters

For Open Water conditions and Confined Channel conditions in shallow water. 

For Supertankers, Bulk Carriers, G/C ships, Container vessels and Ro-Ro ships. 

Ship speeds….Full-form ships….0 to 14 knots.  Fine-form ships is 0 to 18 knots. 

For any condition of loading; Light Ballast to Fully-loaded Departure condition. 

Ships with static even keel condition & ships with static trim by the bow or stern.  Location of maximum squat due to position of LCB about amidships. 

For rectangular and trapezoidal shaped channels plus channels with a trench. H/T range 1.10 to 1.40.  Blockage Factor range in Channels is 0.100 to 0.250. 

Loss of ukc at shipside P & S, due to angle of heel. 

Maximum Squats will be in tabulated in conjunction with graphical presentation. 

Minimum dynamical ukc will be in tabulated and linked with graphical presentation.
